Why EV cars?

In the UK, the popularity of some electric vehicles has exploded in recent years, with about 300,000 pure-electric cars and over 600,000 plug-in cars (pure-EV and PHEV) now on the road, up from just 3,500 in 2013.

A broader range of options for drivers, a shift in the public’s attitude toward electric cars, and an ever-improving public recharging network have all contributed to this massive surge in electric car sales. As a result, UK electric car customers now have a wider range of automobiles to choose from than ever before.

The future is also bright, with new plug-in automobiles emerging all the time, spanning a wide range of market segments, making an electric car a practical alternative for a significant number of motorists in the UK.
